Hydrographic Mapping

Clinton Marine Survey AB performs hydrographic surveys for navigation, dredging operations, charting, marine construction, energy industries and much more. Our experienced and competent staff, coupled with a flexible fleet holding vessels of various sizes, enable us to provide customized solutions for project specific requirements.

The vessels have permanent hull mounted Kongsberg multibeam echo sounders EM2040 or EM3002 dual head configurations. The EM2040D systems installed on our vessels are a 0.35 x 0.7 system for high accuracy and will produce one of the market largest swath available which will give a cost effective solution with high quality to our end clients.

The EM 2040 multibeam echo sounder is the first system to bring all the advanced features of deep water multibeams to the near bottom sounding environment. The basic EM 2040 has four units, a transmit transducer, a receive transducer, a processing unit, and a workstation.

For completeness, data input from a motion sensor and a positioning system is required, as is the sound speed profile of the water column between the transducers and the bottom. Sound speed at the transducer is an optional input. The transducers may be delivered mounted on a frame together with the motion sensor and a sound speed sensor, factory aligned for ease of mounting.

All data is acquired and post-processed by state of the art technology and software, operated by experienced surveyors, hydrographers and geologists in order to ensure high quality products of IHO S-44 standards for Hydrographic Surveys.
